Social Media - Faith Versus An Internet Experiment

The success of building your business, relationships, clients, and life online will depend upon the level of faith you actually have in the Internet. We have been establishing business, meeting folks, and making things happen online for about 10 years now, so we are "sold" on the effect, importance, and necessity of "new media".

An Internet experiment on the other hand is when you want to "try something out". Usually when you do this, you are experimenting on your own and end up being way less effective, getting frustrated, and giving up for another couple of months or years. So sad! Connecting with the right people, just as if you were going Sky Diving, or Scuba Diving, or Hiking... is very important. People who head off on their own, without the proper research and guidance, can easily end up injured or dead. The same goes for your "Internet Experiment".

Another thing to consider is that many people want me to train their "Social Media Experts". This sound cool (to you), but many times it is like a Doctor trying to instruct a High Schooler how to do surgery. Internet Surgery in this case.

I suggest that business owners get involved with Social Media directly, or make sure you have someone that you know will be around for years and years, doing this with the similar initiative you have. I still set it up and show you/them how to take it from there. I train whoever how to run the media for your business, not to train them to do what I do. That would take years and years! Just because they have a computer, or have built a website or two, or because they are your best friend... does not give them the needed credentials at all. Their heart must be in it! This is an Avenue of Expertise. You need an Expert!
